Become Your Own Bliss

Because this year's theme is Manifesting, it's important that I share a couple of things that have recently proven to me the power of trusting the Universe.

A few days after I released Become Your Own Bliss, I was preparing my first shipment of gift books in my living room. Without thinking, I said out loud, "We really need a shipping desk." I planned to purchase one the next week. Two days later, a friend of mine and I were walking around my neighborhood because she wanted to lease property nearby. Lo and behold, the current tenant of the prospective rental my dear friend was looking at was giving away a desk that could use some TLC, but was perfect for the purpose I had for it. I called up my fiance and over he came to carry the desk up the street with me to our home. I restored that little beauty and posted the photo of that manifestation on Instagram.

A week before I expressed my desire for a shipping desk, I told my fiance that I planned to convert our guest room/office into more of an office/guest room. The transition would take a sofa bed and I had planned to purchase one when I found one I liked. Again, out of nowhere, I came across an antique sofa bed (the bed part hadn't been used before). Into my office it went.

I write about these experiences not only because I'm a fan of reusing and recycling furniture, I'm letting you know that if you declare your desires, no matter how random they are, some of them just might come into fruition.

I initially learned about the principles of manifesting and tapping into the infinite field of possibilities through Pam Grout's book, E² E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality, which I highly recommend you get your mitts on. I read the book, did the experiments along with it, and Pam BLEW MY MIND! I had always known that thoughts are the basis upon which we build our world, but by golly, did she teach me about trusting the Universe and opening my soul up for everything!

Have fun with your desires. Be open to miracles; they happen every day. In tiny instances and through tangible acquisitions, when you think the right thoughts, sometimes, you don't even have to do anything else. Just show up, and BOOM! There appears your thoughts, manifested in front of your eyes.

What fun experiences have you had with "ask and thou shalt receive?"

How has being open to possibilities attracted wonderful things to your life?
